Marissa has always had a passion for writing and creating marketing content for brand leaders, executives in small companies, and the non-profit industry.
Her experience comes from five years at The Voice of Your Customer as Project Coordinator, and The Voice of Black Cincinnati as Content Manager. There, she managed client and customer relations, led team members in specific projects and promo events, generate relevant content to attract readers as media and press. Pass clients include Cincinnati Police Department, Cincinnati Art Museum, Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber, Interact for Health, Red Bike and more.
Currently, as the Account Manager for The Katalyst Group, Marissa creates and oversees project timelines, secures visual assets for brand strategy and conducts market research, accumulate documents and other preparations needed for clients. Soon, she will manage the company’s social media platforms.
Since her early days, Marissa has been steeped in writing. As native of Cincinnati, Marissa graduated from Princeton High School, where she served at Opinion Editor for Odin’s Word, the high school newspaper. She then attended Eastern Michigan University and wrote for emYOU Magazine and fulfilled an internship at Fox2 News Detroit. It is no surprise that she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism.
Returning home to Cincinnati, she became involved in many organizations like Young Professional of Alzheimer’s Association (YPAA), YWCA Rising Stars Leadership Program, Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber Cincy Ambassador Program, and more. As a long-standing member of St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church, she serves on many executive committees and helps wherever she is needed. She also self-published her first poetry book, Love Carousel, and is currently working on her second story.
Marissa’s is a person who wants to see everyone succeed. Her creative expertise can make any vision an attainable goal to add growth in various company areas. While still maintaining a healthy work-life balance, her clients are her priority.
