About Marissa Staples
Marissa has always had a passion for writing and creating marketing content for brand leaders, small business executives, and the non-profit industry. She is an experienced in Creative marketing professional skilled in implementing effective communication strategies and content for social media campaigns.
This comes from five years at as Project Coordinator at The Voice of Your Customer, and Content Manager at The Voice of Black Cincinnati. There, she managed client and customer relations, led team members in specific projects and promo events, and generated relevant content to attract readers as media and press. Past clients include the Cincinnati Police Department, Cincinnati Art Museum, Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber, Interact for Health, Red Bike, and more.
Currently, as the Account Manager for The Katalyst Group, Marissa creates and oversees project timelines, assists with brand and content strategy, conducts market research, and accumulates documents and other preparations needed for clients. She now manages the company’s social media platforms.
Under Social Butterfly Campaigns, she has successfully performed three virtual fundraisers for the Queen City (OH) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated by creating content, and graphics and running their social media platforms during the promotion time. Additionally, she maintains the website for Women’s Alliance, Incorporated.
As a published author who seeks to help people express themselves in a safe space, she is always looking for ways to upgrade her spiritual and professional development. This journey began with the YWCA Rising Star Leadership Program (2018) and the Arts Wave BoardWay Bound Program (2022). Now, she holds executive seats on the True Theatre Board, Urban League Young Professionals Board, and Alzheimer's Diversity Council.
